Natural plant products such as essential oils have gained interest for use in pest control in place of synthetic pesticides because of their low environmental impact.Thymol is a substituted phenol used as cosmetic biocides/preservalives and/or fragrance ingredients. Thymol functions as a denaturant and fragrance ingredient in cosmetic formulations.
